Choosing the Right Jewelry for your Wedding
Choosing the right jewelry for your wedding means that there are different things that you need to consider.
The Style of your Dress
If you are planning on going with a very simple type of dress then you have a couple of options when it comes to your jewelry. You can create a contrast with the look by going with jewelry that is fancier, or you can keep it subtle so that it blends in nicely with the look that you are creating.
New or Old?
Many brides like to go with the older tradition as the saying goes,” something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue”. To fit in with the something old of this tradition often brides will choose jewelry that has belonged in the family as a way of honoring this tradition. That doesn’t mean to say that new pieces of jewelry cannot be bought that will also work well with the older piece that is chosen.
How Much Jewelry?
The next decision that is going to come into play is how much jewelry should be worn. There are choices of earrings, necklaces, rings and bracelets. The bride that really is in favor of a lot of jewelry can wear all of these pieces making sure that they all work together and are compatible.
The type of earrings that are chosen are going to be important as to how they work not only with the hair but the veil as well. For example, a bride that is choosing a short veil may not want to go with long dangling earrings as this can offset the look.
If the gown is long sleeved then chances are a bracelet will not to be necessary. In most cases brides don’t like to go with rings because the total emphasis is going to be put on the wedding rings.
